Moving Permits: anyone moving into, within or out of the Township must obtain a moving permit from the Township Secretary.   The cost of the permit is $5.00. Those moving within the Township are not charged the fee but must obtain the permit.   Landlords are responsible for reporting to the Township any tenants moving into,  within,  or out of Lower Towamensing Township.   There is a $600.00 fine for violation of this ordinance.

Zoning and/or Building Permits: are required for most buildings ant structures including swimming pools, decks, sheds, ect.   Contact Duane Dellecker before you start construction. If you are building a new home, you must have a sewage permit, a well permit, and an approved Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan before you can get a building permit.   

Occupancy Permits: are required for any newly constructed home.   

Driveway Permits: (Ordinance #135) are required for new driveways coming into Township roads. If your driveway will be coming onto a state road, you must contact PennDOT for a permit.   

Fireworks Permits: are required before any fireworks display, ect. can be performed 

House Numbers: The Township adopted Ordinance #121 on October 3, 1994 which states in short,  that it shall be the duty of every owner of every house, building or structure to display a house number. The number shall be so placed as to be in full view from the opposite side of the street.   There is a $300.00 fine for non-compliance.   Please display your house number.
